Bob Dylan
Posted by FuzzyGamer in Music, YouTube on 2011/09/30
I’ve been on a pretty big Dylan kick lately, listening to him in the car, at home and at work. Mostly it’s been the Dylan album, but recently it’s transitioned to The Essential Bob Dylan. Great collections, amazing music that reaches across the decades, that still has a powerful impact on us. Either of these two albums would be part of my Deserted Island picks for music. (The choice of books would probably come down to “Cryptonomicon”, “Replay” and “Look to Windward”.)

Shaky camerawork, but beautiful nonetheless.

A fairly-simple “review” of the first two books in the “Spin” series, “Spin” and “Axis”, by Robert Charles Wilson.
Here be spoilers.
Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey Whiskey
Posted by FuzzyGamer in Reviews on 2011/09/26

This beautiful drink is actually quite horrible. I tried a sample size of this whiskey on Wednesday. Then bought a full bottle on Thursday. And was stunned to see on Monday that I’d gone through half of it.
Rather, I should have said, the drink is so good, it’s terrible.
Served chilled – or, in my case, straight from the freezer – this drink does a number on you. It’s sweet, but obviously packs a punch. Don’t mix it with anything. Don’t water it down. Drink it straight. And take an aspirin in the morning.

“Look to Windward” (LW for short), is the sixth Culture novel from author Iain M. Banks. It was published in 2000.
The following review will contain some spoilers.

It’s been forever and a day since I’ve written on this blog. It’s been forever since I’ve wanted to. The last few months have seen a fair bit of change in my life. Some things got pushed way down on the priority queue. But, here we are again. Hopefully back from an unintended hiatus.
And now, without further ado…
